I just saw the fattest, grumpiest pigeon i've seen in my life. 

Thought i'd do a quick study and try and record it. 

hobo, or apocalypse survivor?

So recently i've been on this (or should say 'have returned to') I NEED TO BE READY FOR A CATASTROPHE or END OF THE WORLD...funk.

And youtube-ing the show Prepers isn't helping.

But the other night while walking the dog, i saw this hobo emerge from the park looking something like this.

Complete with shopping cart and dog. 

Also, i watched The Road the other night. S'alright. I do like that it wasn't all action hero hero the entire movie, and felt pretty real. But something didn't sit right with me about the family that 'adopts' the kid at the end. Oh...spolier alert...ahem. 

Italian Memories

So the forecast says rain today and till forever. And a day. I don't particularly mind rain, i'd just prefer warmer weather.

This is me and Sydney sitting on the only beach in Amalfi. Not counting the surrounding towns, separated by cliff and narrow roads, that have their own strip of beach.

We sat, we swam, we ate. It was happy.

Halloween

Halloween is coming in hot. And every year me and Sydney vow to make bad ass costumes. But October comes out of NOwhere! So we'll see what we end up being this year.

Dragons live for a billion years!

I've been a huge Aquabats fan for the longest time. They're music is the best suffer punk/ska wacky stuff that i love. This is inspired by one of their songs called Luck Dragon Lady. Check it out. Also, you hear about artist that are freaking awesome live... they're one of them.

Education.com

I've been doing some smaller projects with education.com

So i pulled together a sample of the work i've done, some monster coloring pages and a paper cut out doll.

I highly recommend Education.com to people with children, or close to young ones. There's a lot of good material for suplemental leaning and fun having.

Here's a quick study i did today. Just trying to keep my brain fresh by taking 20 minuets, drawing something totally different, and then go back to what i was working on.

Adam in Space

I've realized that as much as i LUhhhvvvv sci fi, i don't do any kind of sci fi related art. So here i goes downs a new road. 

Rough concept for my new characters space suit...and blaster. Ship and details to follow.

Doing work

So as much as i promised my self not to miss the deadline... i pretty much missed the deadline for Spring Show. But i did manage to slap something together. It's a Fall '11 medley of the work i did for my Day of the Dead project. Which i'm still very interested in pursuing, just waiting for the right time. 

ugh... It'll do.

Went back to an old sketch and tried to flesh it out a bit. Could use a little tweaking but i'm please with where it's at. For now.

Galaxy Note

Long story short... Out with the iphone in with the Note.

I've been feeling a little tablet envy, and at the same time vomiting in my mouth a little when i think about carrying around another device.

The Note is a solid middle ground.

So... It's been a while since my last post. But thankfully enough it's because im busy working. In animation... see mom and dad, that whole 'art' thing worked out. For now.

I finally got around to watching How to Train Your Dragon. I was very pleased with the art...
I have a feeling that i'll be drawing a lot more Viking/ Roman/ Warrior type characters in the near future, thanks to How to Train Your Dragon, Spartacus, and i'm sure Brave's not going to help.

See, i usually draw Cowboys and junk, but i feel a shift coming. Oh yea, Assassins Creed is also a big influence on this shift. Ezio freaking Auditore.

 And this is the soupy, soggy brainy leftovers after i burn through what ever inspiration i had going.
