vectoring

I'm trying to keep fresh on my vector stuff, so i've been slowly picking away at this little thing in between story boards.

Is it cheesy? I feel like it's a little strong on the cheesy. We're moving in a two weeks so we've been cleaning and slowly packing. And Sydney has these great polaroid cameras. I've painted it before, but i liked the shapes of the camera and wanted to vectorize it.

Man, i slipped out of my warm-up routine for a little bit. I blame the holidays... 

Anyway, chilly landscape.

I just saw the fattest, grumpiest pigeon i've seen in my life. 

Thought i'd do a quick study and try and record it. 

hobo, or apocalypse survivor?

So recently i've been on this (or should say 'have returned to') I NEED TO BE READY FOR A CATASTROPHE or END OF THE WORLD...funk.

And youtube-ing the show Prepers isn't helping.

But the other night while walking the dog, i saw this hobo emerge from the park looking something like this.

Complete with shopping cart and dog. 

Also, i watched The Road the other night. S'alright. I do like that it wasn't all action hero hero the entire movie, and felt pretty real. But something didn't sit right with me about the family that 'adopts' the kid at the end. Oh...spolier alert...ahem. 

Italian Memories

So the forecast says rain today and till forever. And a day. I don't particularly mind rain, i'd just prefer warmer weather.

This is me and Sydney sitting on the only beach in Amalfi. Not counting the surrounding towns, separated by cliff and narrow roads, that have their own strip of beach.

We sat, we swam, we ate. It was happy.
